Quick Synopsis: Katie gets a chance (or two, or three.. or more) to re-do mistakes she’s made in her life.
That’s my “without giving too much away synopsis”.
Fuck. I loved this so much. I haven’t read Scott Pilgrim vs The World but after reading Seconds, I have to. Seconds was so good.
I absolutely loved the art. (I already knew I would). I played the Scott Pilgrim video game for like a second and I could not get over how cute it was. So when I saw that O’Malley had a brand new graphic novel coming out, I sought to read it. I also wanted to go to his book signing but, unfortunately, life got in the way.
But I digress.
The story is amazing. I mean, wouldn’t you like to change bad things you’ve done? I know I would..before I read this book. Katie is a truly relate-able character in almost every way. She’s insecure but has her own talent. She strives to succeed. And like most people, she has “the one that got away”. Katie is definitely my favorite character of the story but so many of the other characters are just so great. I have no complaints.
Loved the art. Loved the story. Loved the characters.
also, for any fans of Scott Pilgrim, there are a few little easter eggs/references to SP in the book.
It’ll make you fangirl/boy, instantly.
